Dr. Drew Czernick is a board-certified periodontist with extensive expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of periodontal disease. With a passion for restoring oral health, Dr. Czernick specializes in hard and soft tissue reconstruction, dental implant placement, and management of chronic periodontal disease. After completing a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Alberta, Dr. Czernick pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Periodontology at Boston University, where he gained comprehensive training in both surgical and non-surgical techniques. During his time in Boston, Dr. Czernick was awarded the Goldman Scholarship for outstanding academic performance as well as the Excellence in Periodontology Award for exceptional clinical achievement.
Dedicated to patient-centred care, Dr. Czernick emphasizes education and prevention to help patients maintain long-term oral health. With a focus on personalized treatment plans, he aims to deliver optimal results while ensuring a comfortable experience for every patient.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Czernick remains actively involved in continuing education, staying at the forefront of the latest innovations in periodontics having recently trained under world renown surgeons for both hard and soft tissue regeneration. Dr. Czernick also works as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Alberta. He was awarded the AAP Excellence in Teaching Award in 2020 for his contributions to the program.
Outside the office, Dr. Czernick enjoys playing hockey and badminton as well as spending time with his wife, their son and two french bulldogs.
